National "Best Green Entrepreneur" Competition — 2nd Edition of Green Jobs Week (SEV 2026)
Are you a Cameroonian aged 18 to 35 with a green business idea or an early-stage project? The Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training (MINEFOP), through the Green Jobs Promotion Programme in Cameroon (PPEVC), invites you to apply for the National "Best Green Entrepreneur" Competition, held during the 2nd edition of Green Jobs Week (SEV 2026).
Theme: "Green entrepreneurship and ecological transition: what sustainable job opportunities for young people?"
Green Jobs Week will take place from 16 to 20 October 2026 at the Majestic Esplanade, University of Yaoundé I. The competition will reward the 10 best green projects nationwide, led by young people, with strong environmental impact and job-creation potential, at the closing ceremony on 20 October 2026.
Eligible sectors:
- Renewable energy and energy efficiency (solar, biomass, small hydropower)
- Waste management and circular economy (collection, recycling, plastic/organic waste valorization)
- Sustainable agriculture and agroforestry
- Sustainable construction and local materials
- Environmental protection and biodiversity (eco-tourism, reforestation)
- Cameroonian youth, aged 18 to 35 at the closing date of the call
- Project holder (student, graduate, or young professional) in one of the eligible sectors
- Promoter of a micro/small/medium enterprise, start-up, cooperative, or economic interest group (GIE), formally registered or in the process of formalization
- Project with strong potential for direct, decent, and sustainable job creation
- Project with a strong degree of technical/social innovation and potential to be replicated in other regions
Evaluation criteria (out of 100 points): innovation and relevance (20), economic viability and market potential (20), environmental impact and sustainability (20), job creation and social impact (15), gender inclusion and territorial anchoring (15), profile and motivation of the project holder/team (10).
Timeline:
- Launch of the call for applications: 17 September 2026
- Deadline for receipt of applications: 9 October 2026, 3:30 PM
- Review and shortlisting: 10–12 October 2026
- Pitch before the jury (in person or videoconference): 13–15 October 2026
- Official award ceremony: 20 October 2026, Yaoundé

You may also submit your application in person: deposit a sealed envelope containing your complete file at the MINEFOP mail service (Nlongkak, Yaoundé) or at any Regional/Departmental Delegation of MINEFOP, no later than Friday 9 October 2026 at 3:30 PM.
